Quick Update and Thank You…

I would like to thank all of you for the kind comments, messages, and notes of support after my last field report when I mentioned that my mother was in Hospice care.

Mom passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Sunday afternoon after a long battle with cancer.

Now I’m devoting time to being with family and caring for my father-in-law who was admitted to the hospital ICU on Monday.

Yeah…2024 has had a rather rough start.

Again, thank you so very much for your thoughtful and loving comments and messages. I appreciate them more than you can imagine. Our radio community here is such an amazing one and I’m incredibly grateful.

Thank you!

Thomas

  13. Tom, you gave your mother, and are giving your father, the most important gift possible at this stage of their lives: the comfort of knowing that they raised a loving, supportive and compassionate son.

  15. Thomas,

Everyday shared with our loved ones is a blessing. We are not meant for this world though, but are always in preparation for the next. I’ve seen passing of the natural and unnatural order and none are easy. I always find peace from the verse below. Be blessed. Peace be with you.

  20. I hardly expected to be quoting Kermit the Frog at a time like this but in their “Christmas Carol” version he said

“Life is made up of meetings and partings. That is the way of it”.

As we get older we seem to have more and more partings and, expected or not, they’re never easy. Please take some comfort in the warm thoughts and support from the community here.
