  1. I wish LNR, KD1JV or someone(!) would make the touch keyer that is incorporated into the MTR-3B available as a kit. I’d like to be able to add that feature to several of my existing rigs. Such a kit used to be available a few years ago but the vendor (I can’t remember the name) has left the building…

    I am aware of the “pressure paddle” kit – this is not what I’m looking for.

  2. Slightly off-topic but why is this transceiver not so common on the YouTube SOTA/POTA channels? I’ve seen unboxing and initial reviews when the first batch was released but then….. radio silence. There was talk of the colour screen being a power hog but just looking at the linked PDF file it looks like it is better in that area than the TX-500. This is a rig with a bona fide pedigree but it seems like it is being ignored. Is it just my imagination? Does it have problems and everyone is being too polite to point them out? Is it just that there aren’t many of them out in the wild maybe? Hmmm curious!
